About the Role

The Oasis of Holt is seeking a visionary, compassionate, and experienced Executive Director to lead our senior living community. As the operational and cultural leader, you will oversee all day-to-day community functions—including resident care, staff leadership, financial management, regulatory compliance, and occupancy growth.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who fosters a warm, person-centered environment for our residents while empowering a dedicated team of care professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Direct and oversee all daily community operations, including clinical services, dining, life enrichment, maintenance, and administrative departments.
  • Team Development & Culture: Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing department heads and front-line staff, cultivating a supportive, accountability-driven workplace culture.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Quality: Ensure continuous adherence to all Michigan state licensing regulations, local health codes, and company quality standards; lead state survey preparation and response.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage annual operational budgets, control expenses, manage labor/overtime costs, and optimize revenue to achieve financial performance goals.
  • Occupancy & Community Relations: Partner with the Marketing Director to drive census, participate in public relations, host community tours, and engage with prospective families and local healthcare partners.
  • Resident & Family Advocacy: Maintain open, responsive communication with residents and families to ensure high satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and uphold resident dignity and rights.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of progressive leadership experience as an Executive Director, Administrator, or Assistant Administrator in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care settings.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Michigan Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license or relevant Assisted Living Director certification strongly preferred (or ability to meet state regulatory requirements for community leadership).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Gerontology, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience managing P&L statements, budgeting, labor scheduling, and operational cost controls.
  • Leadership Style: Exceptional conflict-resolution, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with a servant-leadership approach.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
