About the Role
The Oasis at Clio is seeking compassionate, dedicated Caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our resident-centered care team. In this role, you will provide essential hands-on support, companionship, and daily assistance to help our residents maintain their dignity, independence, and highest quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Support safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation using appropriate assistive devices.
- Assist with meal service, dining assistance, and monitoring nutritional/fluid intake.
- Take and record vital signs, reporting any significant physical or behavioral changes promptly to nursing leadership.
- Provide meaningful companionship and encourage participation in community social activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for all residents.
- Document daily care tasks accurately in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- For CNAs: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Michigan.
- For Caregivers: Prior direct-care experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred (on-the-job training provided for motivated candidates).
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
